About The Event

This course touches on the skills and knowledge typically gained in the Basic SUP course and then introduces participants to paddling in more challenging conditions and to more advanced paddleboarding skills. Provides the theory and skills for paddling inland waters with some wind and waves. Includes pivot turns, wave surfing, foot positions, edging and bracing. Emphasis is on safety, technique, navigation & environmental conditions.

Participants are expected to have previous paddleboarding experience and a comfort level paddling in calm conditions.

Successful participants will receive their Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP skills award.

Prerequisites: Basic level equivalent experience as assessed by instructor. Paddlers need time and practice to sufficiently develop the skills typically learned in the Basic prerequisite course before registering in this course. Length: 4 hours (private bookings have the option to do this course over 2 days)

Price: $245.00 +gst (5%) = $257.25 Price includes all gear and safety equipment.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: 100% refund up to 2 weeks prior to course start date. Course is non refundable within 2 weeks of the course start date.
