Level Up Your SUP Skills

Advance Your SUP Skills builds on your existing skills and knowledge while introducing participants to paddling in more challenging conditions and to more advanced paddleboarding strokes.


It provides the theory and skills for paddling inland waters with some wind and waves including pivot turns, wave surfing, foot positions, edging and bracing. Emphasis is on safety, technique, navigation & environmental conditions.


If you would like to complete the Paddle Canada Certification, for an additional fee we will send you our online program. 


  • 3 hours of advanced instruction with Paddle Canada Instructor

  • SUP 

  • Use of a small dry bag for clothes and phone if needed


  • Paddle Canada certification (if successfully attained)

  • Travel to and from the start/end locations (participants must arrange their own pickup and drop off as we are not providing shared driving arrangements at this time)

  • Travel Insurance (if applicable)

  • Personal clothing, gear & safety equipment (choose our rental option and we'll have a board, paddle, coiled leash, and throw bag with tow line ready for you!)

  • Donation to our Girls on Boards program 

  • 5% GST

Is this Course Right for You?

This is an Intermediate/Advanced course.


We expect that you have taken the Basic SUP course or have equivalent experience as assessed by the instructor. Paddlers need time and practice to sufficiently develop the skills learned in the prerequisite course before registering in this course.

Must be comfortable in the water.

  • The course begins at 10 am and finishes at 1pm. 

  • We meet at: Canoe Cove Marina & Boatyard, Canoe Cove Road, North Saanich, BC, Canada

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before, earlier if you need to collect your rental gear from Pacifica Paddle Sports

  • The location may change if weather conditions require it. You will be emailed or called 24 hours prior if this happens.
