The kaleidoscopic Margaree River, considered one of the world’s best Salmon runs, is indescribably beautiful at this time of year with fall colours glittering on the hills of the Margaree Valley.

We will get our taste of coastal ocean paddling near the Acadian village of Cheticamp famous for its rug-hooking arts and French Canadian cooking. For those who would enjoy some downtime, you can wander around Cheticamp harbour, chat with the locals and soak up the culture that is so distinctly Cape Breton.
